Sam the Artist - Brooklyn NY, USA
At the age of 3, Sam started playing drums, well, banging on pots. He would listen to his mum play music, take out pots and cooking sticks and start banging on the pots which led to his family buying him his first drum kit.
Sam then started playing drums more at church and improved by playing a lot, watching other drummers and replicating their chops and licks. A few years ago, Sam joined “The Dissidents”. He has traveled to Eastern Europe and Canada with them and recorded with them. There are great things ahead for Sam and Red Cymbals is proud to have him as a Red Artist.
Jayden Friend - Freelance - Sydney Australia
Jayden’s drumming story started in 2006. The first time he ever saw the drums was on TV watching Jonathan Moffett playing live at the O2 arena, Jayden instantly knew that he wanted to play the drums. After begging his parents to buy him a drum kit, Christmas morning came around and he saw his first drum kit, Jayden jumped straight on and was instantly hooked. Initially self taught, in 2013 Jayden started getting lessons from Bradie Webb, the drummer from Australian band Short Stack and learned many things that made him the drummer he is today. Jayden started to see drum cover videos on YouTube and knew that was going to be his thing but he needed a platform. In 2015 Jayden started his instagram page to post drum covers and has built a nice following. He loves posting quality content which has given him great opportunities, such as recording drums for Joel Legget (The Voice), performing in multiple music videos and has helped form a new band called Super Super Serpent and we are working on some new material to be released soon.

Luke’s brother, being an accomplished song writer, helped him develop his playing while jamming and writing original songs which eventually developed into the current band project, South by Night, with his brother on guitar and vocals. He also plays in church and with other artists and is working on producing a solo EP project Land and See, due for release in the near future.
